Reconciliation in Northern Ireland

Belfast resident Jim Tate left the familiar ranks of the loyalist paramilitaries in 1976 to surrender to a greater kingdom…’I asked the Lord for forgiveness. I felt a burden lifted from me.’ Four years ago he met Tom Kelly, a former member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) who had turned from terrorism to serving God. Together – as former political enemies and now friends in Christ – they have told their stories to a wide variety of audiences, from British politicians to Irish Catholic groups.
